Mariée Bridal Designers
Mariée exhibits bridal as art. Like silk sculptures in a pristine gallery, Mariée presents some of the world’s leading bridal designers with undeniable vision and taste. We travel to New York, London & Barcelona every year to select our very favorite designers, and bring them all together in our boutique for a truly exquisite exhibition of the best of the bridal industry. Designers have been carefully selected after close inspection of their couture quality, construction, use of fabrics, and value for money by our owner (who is a trained fashion designer and a former buyer for a multi-national company).
We are extremely selective about who we work with, we don’t simply work with a designer because of their corporate branding or their ‘label’, we look beyond the marketing and work with designers who genuinely produce some of the most stunning and flattering bridal gowns in the industry. Whether you are looking to spend over $7,000 or under $1,500, whether you are looking for a simple and traditional gown or an extravagant & flamboyant contemporary masterpiece, art comes in many forms and there is something for every bride who sees this as her moment of self-expression or her moment to walk the red carpet.

For the woman who dreams of pure poetry in motion, Los Angeles designer Claire Pettibone will indulge her every romantic inclination. Born to artist parents, it was inevitable that Claire would enter a creative field. She spent her early childhood living in rural New York in a nineteenth century home where her parents created their art, and Claire began to draw and paint as well. At the age of 4, she attended a wedding at St. Patrick's Cathedral in Manhattan that left a lasting impression. Claire was so enthralled with that walk down the aisle, that she began drawing brides and begged her mother to make her a wedding gown!
After graduating from Otis Parsons School of Design in Los Angeles with a degree in fashion design, she and her husband Guy set out to bring Claire's ethereal vision to the world of fashion. The company began with a luxurious collection of fine lingerie featuring delicate laces and the special details that have become Pettibone's signature.
As fate would have it, Claire designed a bridal gown for a dear friend. Word spread and clients began flocking to Claire's flagship salon in Beverly Hills. A few years later, Pettibone launched her bridal collection in New York to rave reviews. Featured in countless bridal magazines ever since, the designer has developed a following of brides looking for a truly unique and timeless creation. She has quickly risen to the top of her field, and the collection is now carried in premiere bridal salons across the country and around the world.
"A wedding gown has to be the most beautiful dress in a woman's life, make her look and feel amazing, and capture her essence," says Pettibone. Her gowns have a vintage quality, but the references are combined in a way that is truly modern. "When I create a dress, it's all about the fabric and the woman, and how these elements are combined to enhance each other," says Pettibone who works exclusively with couture European embroideries and laces. “So many brides want an intimate and individual feeling for their wedding, and the dress really sets the tone," says Pettibone who has created gowns for ceremonies in castles, forests, beaches and gardens in addition to the traditional church and hotel ballroom.
And who says a wedding gown has to be snow-white? Pettibone uses subtle tints of champagne and antique lace to illuminate the bride in a soft glow. Often inspired by vintage fabrics and fashion history, this designer has found a way to meld her love of things past with a new perspective that results in the perfect dress for the bride to enchant her guests as she walks down the aisle.
Claire’s dresses are truly unique in the bridal industry, are stunning works of art and are still made by hand in Claire’s studio. Her dresses are priced at approximately $2,100-$8,500.
Matthew Christopher is a critically acclaimed designer who is based in New York. Matthew’s interest in bridal design began very early as a child looking at bridal magazines in his local grocery store. After studying at the Art Institute of Chicago and Iowa State University, Matthew moved to New York to begin his internships at several well-known bridal design companies. He continued to design collections for some of the biggest labels in the bridal industry, before launching his own collection in 2002 at the age of 26. From his very first collection, Matthew’s gowns have represented modern elegance combined with classic glamour. From the hand-drawn, organic beading to show stopping silhouettes, Matthew creates drama in every detail. Over the years, he has created unique and stunning dimensional embroidery, cutout windowpanes, precise pin tucks, hand-knotted bows, flowing flowers, sweeping trains, and elegant draping. And just as important as beauty on the outside, each gown is carefully constructed on the inside to provide an impeccable and comfortable fit.
Matthew is incredibly passionate about his work and designs out of his studio in the heart of the fashion district in New York City. He is typically featured in his advertising campaigns (and with his good looks we can’t really blame him!) and loves nothing better than personally speaking to each and every bride who buys one of his dresses!
Matthew has been nominated for 5 years in a row for the DEBI (Distinctive Excellence in the Bridal Industry). His dresses are priced from approximately $2,500 - $4,000

As a top student of fashion, nominated for numerous design awards, Lea—Ann Belter trained with a couturier before opening her first custom gown boutique in Toronto’s exclusive Yorkville area. She has since extended her reach and made her gowns available in specially—chosen stores across North America and Europe. Lea—Ann’s sophisticated designs and attention to quality and detail have drawn the most discerning brides and a high—profile clientele.
Since her start in 1989, Lea–Ann has been committed to elegant simplicity in design. Sophisticated lines and understated details distinguish her gowns from the ordinary. Belter does not follow trends, she sets them. Belter is adamant about quality. She refuses to have her gowns manufactured off shore because she must oversee the workmanship herself. The fabric touching your skin during the most important day of your life is as fine and soft as the fabric your gown is crafted in — you could really wear the gown inside out if you wanted to.
he details of a Lea–Ann Belter gown do not dazzle, they seduce. Hand–sewn pearls, Austrian crystals and soft delicate embroidery whisper softly of taste and elegance. Lea–Ann works closely with her textile mill in India and has even designed some of her own fabrics such as beautiful silk brocades and softly colored dupioni silks.
Brides across the world seek out the beautifully crafted Lea–Ann Belter collection for a myriad of reasons — simple and elegant designs, incredible attention to detail, workmanship equal to or better than that of the creations from the runways of Paris.
