Rather than give you a list of seamstresses to go and meet with, we have three seamstresses that we have worked with for many years who will visit with you here at the store. All brides will need alterations on their gown to achieve the perfect fit, but did you know that we can customize your gown, from the very simple to something much more elaborate?
Due to high demand we are only able to alter gowns purchased at our store.
Below are a few examples of some more recent work that we have done for our brides.
Alterations are an important part of your wedding dress purchase. Brides will typically visit her seamstress around 3-4 times for regluar alterations and sometimes more for custom work.
If you are visiting us from out of state please let us know if you would like help with sourcing an alterations expert closer to home, or if you would like to make use of our condensed fittings schedule.
Brides will usually start alterations 2-3 months before their wedding date, but tighter time frames can often be accomodated with a rush fee.
We added a semi sheer off the shoulder sleeves to this gown for our bride. We used soft tulle to match the fabric of the gown, and appliques to match the design.
This really changed the look of the dress and made it unique to our bride.
We custom made long sleees for our brides religious ceremony using silk Mikado that we ordered from the designer at the same time as the dress.
About 1/3 of our brides request some kind of custom work on their dress.
For this bride we added ruffle straps to the bodice of this gown. This created a more romantic look and extra support.
We love helping our brides to bring their vision to life and create their dream dress.
Our bride requested romantic off the shoulder drapped straps. We used tulle to make the shape and added applqiues from the designer to match the gown that we hand placed on the straps.
This added to the romantic look of the gown.
